Topic: Emerging Polymer Nanomaterials for Advanced Sensing and Electronic Technologies

Brief Biography

Dr. Satyendra Kumar is a Professor of Physics in the Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities at ABES Engineering College (Autonomous), Ghaziabad, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow. He earned his M.Tech in Engineering Physics from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, and his M.Sc. in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.

His research interests lie in nanotechnology, polymer nanocomposites, functional materials, and advanced sensor applications. His work particularly focuses on the synthesis of semiconductor nanoparticle-doped polymers and their modification using swift heavy ion irradiation to tailor optical, electrical, and structural properties for technological applications.

Dr. Kumar has published several research papers in reputed SCI-indexed international journals and actively contributes to the global scientific community. He has presented his research as a speaker at international conferences held in Poland and Germany, fostering international academic collaboration and knowledge exchange in the field of advanced materials and nanotechnology

Achievements

First Prize for Oral Presentation at the National Conference on Synthesis and Characterization of Smart Materials, Bareilly College, Bareilly, India (2009).

Your roles and responsibilities

  • Delivering lectures and tutorials in core physics subjects such as Engineering Physics, Optics, Modern Physics, Solid State Physics, Nanoscience, and Materials Science for undergraduate engineering students.
  • Designing course materials, preparing lecture notes, assignments, and question papers in accordance with university curriculum and academic standards.
  • Conducting laboratory sessions and guiding students in experimental techniques related to optics, electronics, and material characterization.
  • Supervising student projects and mentoring them in research areas such as nanotechnology, nanocomposite materials, and advanced functional materials.
  • Engaging in research activities including publication of papers in SCI-indexed journals and development of innovative technologies leading to patent applications.
  • Participating in national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops to disseminate research findings and enhance academic collaboration.
  • Serving as Evaluation Coordinator and Head Examiner for university examinations, ensuring smooth conduct of evaluation processes.
  • Performing duties as paper setter, evaluator, moderator, and internal/external examiner for theory and practical examinations.
  • Contributing to departmental academic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and faculty development activities.
  • Acting as reviewer for reputed international journals and maintaining professional engagement with the scientific community.
